Ethics Policy
BitByteCore exists to give you technology coverage you can actually trust — raw, real, and processed to the core. These are the standards every piece is held to. If we ever fall short of them, we want to hear about it.

Editorial Independence
Our coverage is ours. What we cover, what we conclude, and how we say it are decided independently of advertisers, sponsors, and affiliate partners. No one outside the newsroom approves, previews-for-approval, or kills a story.
Commercial relationships keep the lights on. They never buy a verdict.
Accuracy & Corrections
We work to get it right the first time, and we own it in the open when we don't. Material errors are corrected promptly and visibly — the piece carries a note saying what changed and when, rather than being quietly edited.

Sourcing & Attribution
We show the work. Material claims are backed by sources, and where a fact matters we corroborate it against at least two independent, authoritative sources before stating it as fact.
We link out to primary sources, credit other outlets' original reporting, and never pass off someone else's work as our own.
04 · The principle
AI-Assisted, Human-Verified
AI helps us research and draft — on many pieces it writes the first version — but it never gets the final say. We never publish under an invented person. Human-written work carries a real person's byline. AI-written work carries a clearly-labelled AI editorial desk byline (for example, Signal Desk), and is reviewed before it goes live — by BitByteCore's editors, with a named editor credited when a person substantially shaped the piece. Anything that reads like generic, unverified AI output is not published. Every piece is published under our name, and the responsibility that comes with it.
Conflicts of Interest
When a writer or the publication has a stake a reader might reasonably want to know about — a financial interest, a personal relationship, a prior involvement — we disclose it in the piece. When a conflict is serious enough to compromise the coverage, we reassign or recuse.
Sponsored Content & Disclosure
Sponsored content and affiliate links are always clearly labeled and never disguised as independent editorial. Sponsored pieces are marked as sponsored; articles containing affiliate links carry a visible disclosure. Buying through an affiliate link may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you — and it has zero influence on our assessment.
