Deleting Your Data

It is for two different people. One is someone who messaged a business on WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram, where that business runs its messaging through our software. The other is a business that is our client.

The request goes to the same address either way. What differs is whose records they are.

The business you messaged decides what happens to your conversation. We hold it for that business, inside the system we run for them. So you have two routes.

The direct route is to ask the business itself. That is usually fastest, because the record is theirs.

The other route is to write to admin@bitbytecore.com. We will act on your request together with the business whose system it is, and we will confirm to you when it is done.

Write to admin@bitbytecore.com from an e-mail address on your account and tell us what to delete: one conversation, one customer's records, or everything we hold for you.

When our agreement ends you can ask us to delete everything we hold for you, and we will.

Put "Data deletion request" in the subject line, and tell us four things: your name; the WhatsApp number, Facebook Page or Instagram account you used; the name of the business you were messaging; and what you want deleted.

Please do not send copies of your identity card, your passport, or any password. We do not need them to find your records, and we do not want to hold them. If a message arrives with one attached, we delete the attachment.

We check the request is really from you, find the records in the system they belong to, and delete them. We tell the business whose system it is. Then we write back to you to confirm.

We answer within 30 days. It is usually much faster than that, but 30 days is what we promise.

The same address and the same request cover data from a Facebook Page or an Instagram account that a client has connected to our software. Tell us which account you used so we can find the right records.

We can only delete what is in our systems. Messages saved on your own phone stay on your phone, and you control those.

Anything Meta holds is Meta's own copy. You can manage that in your WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram settings.

We keep a short record of the request itself, so we can show that we handled it. That record holds the request and the date, not the deleted content.
